Ride-sharing to and from Sommo Festival

Book Sommo transportation for a single night or the whole weekend using the Kari app

Kari’s fleet of ride-sharing drivers is excited to help you enjoy the Sommo Festival this year by offering transportation service to and from Cavendish with pre-booked rides.

Pickup from your door in the Greater Charlottetown Area (Charlottetown, Cornwall, Stratford) to the concert site and back after the show is now available for booking.

To book rides to or from other areas of PEI, you must book a multi-stop ride with YOUR LAST DROP-OFF SET AS CHARLOTTETOWN, PEI.

EXAMPLES:
If booking from the Cavendish Visitor Information Centre to North Rustico, you must book in the Kari app like this:
Pickup: Cavendish Visitor Information Centre
Add-Stop: North Rustico
Dropoff: Charlottetown, PEI.

Rides are a flat rate, one-way, of $140 for up to a max of 4 passengers.

Where will I get dropped off?

While we try our best to drop passengers off at the Sommo Festival site, traffic restrictions may cause you to adjust your dropoff location.

Where will I get picked up after the concert?

The festival requires that all after-concert pickups happen at either the Cavendish Information Centre if you’re heading East or the Cavendish Tourist Mart if heading West. Remember, even if you entered an address into the Kari app closer to the concert site, the driver WILL NOT be able to pick you up while the main road is one-way traffic.

How many people can be in the vehicle?

Unless otherwise arranged, all rides are for a MAXIMUM OF 4 PASSENGERS.

How will I know which vehicle is for me?

In the Kari app, you’ll have the name of your driver, the type of vehicle, colour and license plate number. Be prepared to give your name to the driver when they ask and feel free to ask them for your name for additional safety.

Can I communicate with my driver?

Yes! When your driver is on the way to pick you up, you will be able to text them.

What about drinks?

Open alcohol is not allowed in vehicles in Prince Edward Island.

What if I'm not coming or going from the Charlottetown area?

We have limited service we call “Rural to Rural”. When you book this service, we offer the ride to drivers in the area and you will receive a confirmation message when it has been claimed. We try our best to accommodate these requests but from time to time (especially on busy weekends) wait times can be longer than anticipated or we may not be able to accommodate the ride request.

Book your ride through the Kari app available to download at download.meetkari.com up to 7 days in advance.

We try our best to accommodate the exact requested times, but due to the volume of requests, riders must be prepared to adjust their pick-up time in a reasonable manner.

While we try our best to drop passengers off at the CBMF concert site, traffic restrictions may cause you to adjust your dropoff location.

After concert pickups will happen at the Cavendish Information Centre if you’re heading East and at the Cavendish Tourist Mart if heading West.

Additional Terms of Service & Cancellation Policy

All sales are final upon confirmation and no refunds will be applied if you cancel or fail to catch your ride in a timely manner.

We are not responsible for lost or damaged items left in vehicles.

We are not responsible for delays or cancellations due to weather, traffic or travel conditions.

The expected departure time from the concert site will be within 30 minutes after the concert is over.

The booking User takes full responsibility for their actions and the actions of the user’s party using the Service. If a Driver reports that you and/or your party have materially damaged or soiled the Driver’s vehicle, you agree to pay the Driver a repair fee of up to CDN $250 per person and/or per incident, depending on the extent of the damage (as determined by Kari in our sole discretion), towards vehicle repair or cleaning. Kari reserves the right (but is not required) to facilitate payment of the repair fee to the Driver using the credit card connected to your Account. If Kari facilitates the payment, we reserve the right (but are not obligated) to verify or otherwise require documentation of damage prior to processing the repair fee.
