Giving back to the communities Kari serves.
Kari, Atlantic Canada’s only locally owned and operated ride-sharing service, is embracing the spirit of the holiday season by launching “Kari Cares,” an initiative dedicated to giving back to the community. As the season of giving approaches, Kari is set to kickstart this year-round initiative, pledging to donate a portion of every ride to local causes.
Beginning Monday, November 20th, Kari’s first initiative to support is the Ocean 100 Toys For Tots campaign. This campaign has shown it’s able to support Island families tip-to-tip ensuring that every child experiences the joy of unwrapping a gift on Christmas morning. Kari’s commitment extends beyond the holidays, promising ongoing support for various local charities, programs, and groups that make a difference in the lives of many.
“Community is at the heart of what we do at Kari. With ‘Kari Cares,’ we’re turning every journey into a pathway for change. As co-founders, we believe in driving forward with purpose, and what better way to do that than to support the communities that support us and local drivers,” said Matt MacLeod, Co-Founder of Kari.
Len Currie, Co-Founder of Kari, added, “The holiday season is a reminder of the joys of giving, sharing, and unity. Through ‘Kari Cares,’ we’re not just sharing rides; we’re sharing hope, joy, and the spirit of the season. It’s about making a positive impact, one ride at a time.”
The “Kari Cares” initiative is just the beginning of Kari’s commitment to social responsibility. With plans to support a variety of causes throughout the year, Kari is dedicated to driving change and fostering a legacy of generosity and community support.
Riders can join in on the initiative by simply choosing Kari for their transportation needs, knowing that with each trip, they are contributing to a greater cause. This is a ride towards a better future, and everyone’s invited to be a part of this meaningful journey.
Over the coming weeks, additional initiatives will be announced weekly including Santa’s Angels and Feed A Family. Kari is interested in hearing from groups who could use extra support this time of year by emailing cares@meetkari.com.
